Monograms Made Easy: Alphabet Dies for Monogramming

Is she still talking about monograms?

Yes, ladies and ladies and gentleman (there gotta be at least one gentleman out there, right?)

Yep, she is. She’s still at it.

Simple monogrammed stationery  is once of my favorite looks and there are plenty of ways to make them yourself.  I thought I’d do a quick round-up of my favorite alphabet dies and show you how I use them to create a pile of paper-made pretties.

Since photos are way prettier to look at than my words on a screen, let’s just get started, mmkay?

The Large Print Alphabet Die Colletion is brand new on the scene and I love it so bad. Each letter measures  3″ tall and makes it oh so easy to create really fun and stand-out projets. Here, I paired bold colors with the large letter. Simple. Cute. Love.

Folk Art Alphabet from WPlus9 is another great and unique alphabet die collection. You can make it super feminine like I did here…or you could sorta make it all country western-ish. Maybe you know a cowboy who needs some stationery. Use this die to make it for him. All of his cowboy friends will be impressed!

Uber modern. Clean and chic. Headline Alphabet from Papertrey Ink is all of the above. I was a little surprised by how much I loved this product when I received it. It’s very simple, but that’s what makes it so fab. The skinny tall letters remind me of one of my favorite fonts: SixCaps

These simple beauties are my current favorites when it comes to alphabet dies. The Memory Box Classic Large Uppercase Alphabet and Regular Classic Uppercase Alphabet pair perfectly to create traditional three-letter monograms.

Gorgeous cards, Amber! Hard to pick one fave in the monogram series, but it might be the flip top box. You always share such incredible ideas. I love your style (in crafting & blogging). I would fall under the “experienced” crafter category and I seriously would not change a thing about your tutorials. They are perfect. Your formatting with photos to make things look great is just one of the amazing things that I admire about your blog designing.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these cards! But especially the last collection of cards! First of all, I’m in love with that floral stamp set from Papertrey Ink. Second of all, I more than love your combination of colors on those cards! Yummy!! And adding the Memory Box monograms on the cards made everything even more gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your inspiring tutorials and visually delicious photos!

I would onsider myself an experienced crafter and love your projects and tutorials. Love how you keep it clean and simple, and your fresh ideas blow me away. the humor is an added bonus! The only thing missing for me is a list of supplies. Like the gold stock you used on your academy awards envelope. Or the flower stamps used in today’s last card.

Thanks so much for that feedback! I’m glad you like the tutorials and I’ll be sure to provide more comprehensive listings of supplies for each project. I know how frustrating it can be to look for a product that you see on a blog! For the academy award envies, I *think* I updated with the supplies, but I may not have (my memory is slipping)! That cardstock is from Bazzill and is their metallic gold color. For today’s post, those flowers are from a set called The Sweet Life and it’s sold at Papertrey Ink. Hope this helps! And thanks for being a frequent reader!

Thank you for the reply! I ow the list of supplies takes more time, so thank you. You even linked everything today! Awesome.

I always find your work very professional and informative. It helps inexperienced crafters like myself learn the Dos and Don’ts. I used a lot of your ideas for my craft fair stalls.

As you mentioned, I would love to see handmade gift items for craft fairs, teacher gifts and party favor ideas for kids and adults.

    Kudos to you…

    Cheers!

I’ve been watching your blog lately about all things monogram. I’m not skilled at anything digital so the recent posts about alphabet dies/stamps is exactly what I needed to see. I had so many questions about alphabet dies and you answered them all! Thanks so much for making me a-b-c savvy!

Where did you get these bright colored envelopes? Because of the adhesive on the flap and the angle of the sloped corners on the inside I do not think they were made on the punch board. they are fabulous! Your taste is amazing.

Hi Jenny! Aren’t those envelopes delicious!?! I am obsessed with them. They are from Paper Presentation! If you can keep a secret…I’ll let you in on a little something. Starting next month, I’ll be having a weekly series that includes images of the entire Paper Presentation color collection! You’ll be able to see exactly which colors you want for your own stash!

Stripes. How in the world do you get those stripes so straight? I know you use the Clear and Simple stamps set – but still – your stripes are so evenly spaced. How??? 🙂

Hi! Would you mind telling how you wrote the name on the orange cards (erica) it’s such a nice monogram!
Also the links to the classic large and regular alphabet isn’t working. I think they might no longer be selling them. Do you know where I can find a similar set?
