Paper: Monograms Made Easy: 72 Fonts & Frames

April 8, 2013

Monograms Made Easy: 72 Fonts & Frames And so begins our study of monograms. For the next week and some change, I’ll being monogramming until there are no letters left in the alphabet. I’ve been excited to get this series started because, well…I. LOVE. MONOGRAMMING. To get this underway, I’m posting something that I’ve wanted to create for some time: a library of monogram fonts & frames. I scoured some of my favorite font sites to come up with this extensive (but far from exhaustive) listing of monogramming fonts that fit a number of styles and occasions. Most are free (yay!) and those that are not, have a pink number next to them. Scroll away. Pin away. Let me know what you think! If you love fonts like I love fonts, I have a feeling you’ll enjoy this collection. Be sure to check out the next post in this series where I’ll share a really simple way to make the most of fonts like these.

  1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! Thanks for doing all this work for us. Ha.

QUESTION: The retro group is missing the names/links of fonts 13 and 14. I’d really like to know what #14 is.

  2. This is a treasure, Amber! You are so generous to put all that hard work into sharing this with us, but most of all to share your incredible design savvy. The monograms are all so gorgeous the way you’ve put them together. Thank You!

  3. I hoard fonts like I hoard paper. Probably even worse than I hoard paper because fonts don’t take up REAL space like paper does. I’m in heaven!!! 🙂 Thank you!

  4. I Love monograms too! Thanks for breaking it all down for us! You can also make your own monogram notepads by using a special bookbinding PVA Glue. Just paint on a small amount of the glue on the edge and let it dry….then the pages tear off like your store bought note pads.

  5. I do a lot of graphics and am always looking for new fonts and brushes for Photoshop. I love these and love free! Thanks for putting this together:)

  6. WOW!! Amber – what an amazing post and resource! I love fonts too, and this is incredible!! Thank you, for all your hard work – I am sure this took ages….

  7. You are definitely right on trend with all these monograms. I attempted to “Google” some of these and saw one tutorial on how to create my own in Word…but never finished because I couldn’t find the right font. I so want to make card sets as gifts for friends so this is right up my alley. Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing with us. Amber, you are amazing!

  8. Thank you so much! Your posts always look like they are a lot of work….I can only imagine what it is like in real life!

  9. I embroider everything that’s for weddings, birthdays, showers, thank you gifts so this is a treasure. So are you! Merci

  10. Fabulous collection, Amber! I just need to learn how to get the letters inside the frames. I’m sure it’s not as hard than I think it. Thank you, Ill be coming back to see what else you create. I’m having so much fun seeing the extraordinary way you use your monograms!!
