Simpliest Way to Make Chalkboard Labels | Damask Love Blog

Project-Ranking-FormatI’m gonna ride this chalkboard trend until the wheels fall off. Thing is – I’m pretty sure the wheels fell off about three or four months ago. So, I guess what I really mean is that I’m still loving chalkboard and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

There are lots of ways to achieve the chalkboard look but this is my favorite way to do it – and I’m pretty confident that it’s the world’s easiest and quickest way to create chalkboard labels on the whole, entire interweb. Yep. It is. I just declared it.

You don’t need much here at all. Four items to be exact. You can use any paper punch you have on hand, or if you’d like to get up close and personal with your scissors, break em out and snip a shape of your own.

Now – for the gel pen – I strongly suggest you familiarize yourself with the Uniball White Gel Pen. I own three – and I’m in constant fear that I’ll never be able to get another. I’ve used it here and here…and you’ll be seeing lots more of it. Basically, it’s the best $3.50 you’ll ever spend. (Hyperbole much?)

GREAT tutorial! If my handwriting looked like yours I would use it, too! BUT… it doesn’t, so I will stick to stamping.

Love this – now when I run out of my chalkboard paper that I obviously did not need – I can get that chalkboard effect with my regular cardstock! What a great tip and love your Sun. morning posts, even if I have to work – I know that I can count on them being there later. Thanx for the inspormation!

I am totally making these! At first I thought you had spray painted wooden tags with chalkboard paint. To my joy it was just black cardstock! Now that is totally doable! Pinned it and I am a new follower!

What a polished tutorial. I must say, this tutorial was amazingly paced, the flow of the tutorial and succinct use of words is exceptional. I pinned this post not only because it is a craft I want to try, but because this is an ideal tutorial, a tutorial inspiration as it were. Color me impressed (can you tell?) 🙂

You can skip a step by buying chalkboard stickers at the Dollar Tree . There are 16 stickers to a pack-$1. They are rectangular in shape that you can punch to the shape you like. Helpful if you don’t have a sticker maker.
