I don’t do a lot of embroidery, but I do have a bunch of embroidery hoops. Such is the life of the consummate crafter. Loads of crafting supplies that you know will eventually get used.
For today’s DIY, I grabbed one of my neglected embroidery hoops and gave it new life with the help of my Canon PIXMA TS9020 Printer and the Canon PRINT App, that made it really easy to create a borderless black & white photograph of our family.
SUPPLIES
- Borderless Letter Sized Photo Print – to get a black and white print using the Canon PRINT App, simply toggle the “Grayscale” Settings option into the “On” position and you can quickly turn your color photo into a black and white print. It’s simple!
- 10″ Embroidery Hoop
- Paper Flowers
- Circle cutter
- Wide ribbon
you’ll also need a hot glue gun and a pair of scissors!
STEP ONE
Use the circle cutter to trim your photo
STEP TWO
Place ribbon down the middle of the embroidery hoop and secure into place by tightening the outer hoop.
STEP THREE
Use hot glue or a tap runner to adhere the circle photo to the ribbon
STEP FOUR
Adhere paper flowers along the edge of the wreath using hot glue

I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was so pretty. It’s easy to do, so I couldn’t resist making one myself. I got a thick embroidery hoop. I needed one that was wide enough to handle a thicker, bunchier wreath. I also got some floral wire (not pictured) and a beautiful piece of ribbon from the fabric store. Gorgeous! It was really easy to do, and now I have a wonderful wreath to hang on my door for all of spring. I have asked resume writing service to add this skill in my CV.
