I love the look of a traditional planter…I do not love the task of keeping a plant alive! In the spirit of my lazy green thumb, I’ve come up with a really fun way to bring the outdoors in using Americana Outdoor Living Paint. This paint is perfect for creating durable finishing on projects that will live outside your home…or in the case of this DIY Mini Planter, projects that will live in your entryway, your desktop, or any other surface that need a little greenery (faux greenery that is!)
With a little strategic placement of painter’s tape, you can create the look of a traditional planter using some basic supplies! Watch below to see exactly how this project came together!
Supplies:
- Americana Outdoor Living Paint – I used the Wildflower and Garden Party colors but you can choose from the selection of 30 beautiful shades!
- Painter’s Tape
- a small unfinished wood planter
- Popsicle sticks or custom cut wood strips
- Wood glue
This looks like the perfect summer (fool-proof) mini project for me and my daughter! We would love to give it a try!
