Welcome back to the paper bakery. That’s what I’ve got going on here these days. Yummy treats, completely constructed from your beloved cardstock. Today we’re crafting up a batch of Hostess cupcakes just like the ones on the grocery store shelves, and just like the real deal I’m pretty sure these will last forever and never spoil. (Not sure what sort of preservatives they’ve got in those cupcakes, but they seem to stay fresh forever!)
The how-to on this one is easy and will just require a little
{1} Cut or die cut a 2 7/8″ circle from brown cardstock using the My Favorite Things Stax Circles 1 die collection
{2} Cut or die cut a 2 1/8″ circle from brown cardstock using My Favorite Things Stax Circles 1 die collection
{3} Looped Border Die from My Favorite Things
{5} 1/2 x 11″ strip of cardstock scored down the middle, with 1/4″ Simple Adhesive placed on one side and notches cut out as shown.
{1} Peel off the adhesive cover, the bend the strip of paper as shown to adhere the tabs to the 2 7/8″ circle
{2} Go all around the circle to create a shape like the one shown
{3} Cut a notch on the back of the lid as shown
{4} Place the cupcake wrapper on the inside of the lid
{5} Wrap until the cupcake wrapper fits snuggly within the lid
{6} Glue the edges of the cupcake wrapper together so that it fits within the lid as shown.
{7} Place a thin line of craft glue around the bottom rim of the cupcake wrapper
{8}Adhere the notched portion of the lid to the seam of the cupcake wrapper bottom.
{9} Adhere the looped border die on top of the treat box.
Once you’re done assembling these treat boxes, you can add a tiny paper heart to the center to give it a bit more Valentine’s Day flair. Either way, these are going to be a hit with your friends!

I love these cupcake boxes – you are so creative!
So adorable.
These are super sweet! Do you think there’s anyway to make the icing loops if you don’t have a diecutting machine? I would really love to try.
use white poster/puff paint for the icing! that would be so cute
