Marbled Watercolor Gelatos

The afternoon portion of Damask Love Live was dedicated to working on cards! We spent a long time playing with Gelatos…and ya’ll know I love me some gelatos.

I wanted to share some of the fun tips and techniques for using gelatos, so let’s start out with this fun card! It’s all about the abstract, watercolor background that you can achieve by using a spray bottle.

Damask Love Live: Revisited::

SUPPLIES:
CardstockPapertrey Ink Rustic White, Michael’s Craft Store Watercolor Cardstock StampsAvery Elle “Oh Happy Day”  GelatosFaber Castell Gelatos  ToolsSpray bottle by Specialty Bottle  DiesDee’s Distinctively Dies Pine Sprig

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Trim watercolor cardstock to 3″ x  4″ 2) Spray water onto a piece of acrylic cardstock or onto your acrylic stamping block. 3) Scribble gelato onto the sprayed cardstock/block then spray a bit more water (one or two spritz) 4) Place watercolor cardstock onto the wet acrylic cardstock allowing it to pick up the color of the cardstock. 5) Use a heat gun to set the color and then repeat until you achieve a pattern that you like. 6) Adhere the die cut sprig and add a bit of twine 7) Stamp the sentiment
