Ever walk down the street and see someone with a pet that they’ve dressed up? No? Then perhaps you should move to Miami. People here LOVE to dress up their animals. I’ve also seen my fair share of designer dogs being pushed around in puppy carriages. Yep. Just like baby carriages. Just smaller. And for puppies.
I don’t have a strong opinion about dressing up your pets, sometimes it can be pretty cute, but I’m sure that if dogs could talk they’d have a few colorful words on the topic.
Today, I’m playing dress up with a few animals of my own, but since they’re made from paper – I think we’re all good.
The Clear and Simple stamps Collection 5 Release includes the most adorable Halloween costumes for the Little Critter dies. Now, do you remember these little cuties that I created for Valentine’s Day? Well, Mr. Owl, Sir Raccoon and Lil Miss Bumblebee are done with Valentine’s Day and are all geared up for Halloween.
The Little Critter Halloween Costumes die set is an add on to the Build a Critter Collection and I personally find it pretty darned hilarious that a raccoon is dressed up like a mummy.
I mounted each little critter onto the Party Favor 3 Die – making for the perfect Halloween Treat Bag.
To make the bee a bit more flutter worthy, I die cut several layers of white tissue paper with the largest heart die from the Shapes: Hearts die collection and adhered them to the back of the bee!
Now, Mr. Owl may be my favorite because I have such a love/hate relationship with mustaches. I feel the same about mustaches as I do about chevrons and cake pops. Love them so much – but at some point enough has got to be enough, right?!
Anyway, back to this owl treat bag. I stamped his belly with the Border: Scallops stamp set
Last up is this wacky little dude. I love that even with the mummy die covering most of him, his tell-tale-tail let’s you know that there is a cute little raccon back there!
Welp- that does it for today’s Style Watch! I’ll see you all very soon for the OFFICIAL unveiling of the new Damask Love. In the meantime – I’d love to know if you’ve ever dressed up your pet for Halloween!!
Until Later Loverlies,
AmberKG
What cute treat bags Amber. I don’t have costumes, but I do have little bandanas from a pet event years ago at a pet shop, before we had the chis. And I have Halloween T shirts for my 2 chis, which I got for cool weather. Bentley doesn’t like his at all and never wears it. Mercedes is thankful for something warm to wear. Both had to be altered because they were not made for chis or male dogs. 😉 We also have reflective rain coats too. Bentley runs outside without his(it makes him walk sideways!), but I make Mercedes wear hers because she’s an apple head and more fragile than Bentley, who is a deer head chi.
Paulette! I loved reading about your pups! They sound adorable! Bentley sounds like quite a character!
The halloween costumes for these critters are such a fun add-on!
