I’m back home and excited to get back to blogging. After weeks away, it’s time to get this crafty party back in business! With Valentine’s Day creeping up on us, I thought I’d share another cute favor project that is perfect for classroom gift giving. These little notebooks feature the Clear & Simple Stamps Fruit Applique Dies which I haven’t used in a while. Last year, I created THIS with these same dies and now it’s time to put them to use with a different sort of project.
These mini notebooks are easy to make with a few basic tools:
{1} Die cut fruit applique from paper and assemble one completely and die cut another with just the largest die shape to create the back.
{2} Create a die cut notebook by stacking 4 sheets of text weight paper, folding them in half creating an eight page booklet then die cut all the sheets with about 1/4″ of the die hanging off the folded edge.
{1} Apply glue to the first folded portion of the notebook
{2} Place the glue-side down on to the fruit applique covers
{3} Repeat and apply the glue side down to the back cover.
{4} Insert the rest of the notebook, open to the center fold and tie twine around the center to close.
When you’ve assembled your notebooks, you can package them up in a glassine bag with a cute tag stamped from the Perfect Harvest Fillers stamp set.
Love this. They are so cute. I don’t use dies, but I bet I figure it out on my die cut machine. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas.
These are “berry” cute.
