Anyone out there catching the World Cardmaking Day Fever?

Let me help you with the diagnosis…symptoms include:
1) Messy craftroom due to excessive cardmaking
2) Minor papercut injuries
3) Intense anxiety about running low on white cardstock or adhesive.

Not sure about you – but I’ve definitely got it. And it just so happens that this time last year, I also had World Cardmaking Day Fever which turned into an awesomely exciting win in the Paper Crafts Magazine WCMD contest!

Today, I’m hanging out with the other WCMD winners to share a couple of cards that might just help rev your mojo!

If you’ve reached this post via Trinh Arrieta‘s blog – then you, my dear are an awesome rule abiding blog hopper. If you’ve come here from somewhere else – then, I just don’t know what to say about that! You get 10 minutes in the no-crafting zone – and it’s boring over there.

First, I just had to take this chance to share my winning design from last year’s WMCD contest…it’s one of my all time faves. Probably because it took about eleventeen million hours to complete!

Since my winning card was in the Thank You category,  I’m gonna share another Thank You card.
This card is one that I created for an Ella Publishing article – but never got the chance to share it here on the blog. If you’d like you can check out the article HERE for even more Thank You card inspiration.
Now – before I go, I do have another card for you….one that I created for publication but it was rejected – GASP!! The Nerve!!
I must warn you, it’s not a Thank You card, but it is a card that falls into one of the WCMD contest categories – Season’s Greetings/Holiday. I really love this design because I created each pattern with stamps rather than patterned paper. Take a look-see and lemme know what you think!
And with that – it’s time for you to head on over to your next stop on the hop…
Thanks for stopping by today – and don’t forget to head over to the Paper Crafts Magazine Blog when you’re all done for the chance to win an awesome prize package!

Keep on crafting with these other posts

  1. It looks like it took eleventeen million hours to complete, too. Well worth the win! Does it make me sound ungrateful to say I dont think I’ve EVER made a thank you card?

  2. LOVE ALL THREE of your cards!!!!!! 🙂 THEY’RE FABULOUS!!!!! 🙂 (Don’t feel bad, it takes me FOREVER to make my cards too!) 🙂

  3. really they turned THAT card down??? I agree….the nerve!!!! 🙂 I think it is simply adorable…I may do some of the Christmas tags or notecards like that…I think its super cute!

  4. Amber, I can see why they chose your card last year … talk about a unique card! And I adore your holiday circle wreath – going to CASE that for sure! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us!

  5. I loooove your first card—that was a winner for sure! And that second card is AMAZING too! LOVE the negative space!! And I can’t believe that last card was rejected! WHAT??? AMAZING–love the colors!!! FUN!

  6. Wow girl, I can totally see why you won last year!! These are gorgeous cards. I can’t believe that the last was was rejected!! It is magic! Great inspiraiton. Stacy H-w

  7. Amber, guilty as charged to get to you first…after all, I follow you and you came 1st on MY list! ;D Anywho, back to your stunning, elegant, GORGEOUS cards – I am SO loving them!!
    {now I’m off to try and start over the hop~from the beginning}
    Hugz2u, dearie!

  8. All 3 of these are fabulous cards. I can see the amount of work that went into that 1st one, but my guess is probably very inaccurate and way below what it really took. I really like the warm feeling of the wreath card. What a great way to use up some precious scraps, too. Nice work, all the way around, Amber.

  9. How dare they not choose your card. Very cute and pretty colors! My mom is the master of turning little scraps into something amazing so I am impressed with you as well!

  10. Wow! I love that thank you card!!! What a versatile design! The Homespun holiday wishes card is wonderful too. This was definitely a great stop on the way to inspiration for tomorrow! Thanks, Amber!
