There are envelopes…and then there are ENVELOPES! Today, I’m talking about ENVELOPES! As someone who loves to create stationery, I typically restrict myself to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ canvas. Well today, I’m breaking that rule! What better way to say Happy Birthday to my blog friend (and real life friend) Julie Ebersole! I’m joining forces with a bunch of crafty blog friends to say Happy Birthday to Julie with a blog hop of creative crafts.
For my contribution, I’m sharing a template for a giant envelope that I think you’re gonna lurve. I know I do.
CLICK HERE to download the Giant Envelope Template
{1} Template will print on multiple pages with light blue guidelines to help with assembly
{2} Line up guidelines and use tape to adhere pieces of the template together. Begin by adhering, pieces 2, 5, 8 then 1, 3, 7 and 9.
{3} Complete the template by adhering pieces 4 and 6.
{4} Once assemble, cut out along the solid lines. Trace this template onto wrapping paper to create giant envelope.
Now of course, no giant envelope is complete without a giant card inside, right?! I created my giant card using two sheets of 11×17 cardstock, which I trimmed down to 11 x 14 3/4″
For the design of the my giant card, I reached for a favorite of mine: Papertrey Ink’s Rosie Posie stamp set. The images in this set are rather large in scale, so they work quite nicely on the large card front. I finished off the card front with By The Numbers Die cuts along with a wood veneer embellishment.
