I’m back with another card that I’m linking up to the Moxie Fab Stamp It!: Thank You Cards challenge. After months of taking a break from card challenges – it’s kind of fun to draw inspiration from all the beautiful creations that have been submitted.
If you want to play along, you still have until midnight tonight!
This thank you card is quite different from anything I’ve ever made. There are very few layers of paper, but I did layer several stamps along with colored pencils to add dimension and interest.
Lemme know what you think …I can take it 🙂
I stamped the text background first, with black ink being careful to stamp lightly to get a slightly faded and distressed looking image. I added a few post marks – because, ya know – postmarks and butterflies are an obvious combination.
Last I stamped those butterflies and colored them with pencils, because I can not do with out a few pops of color!
Thanks for stopping by today – hope you are having a great day!
Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts (Antique Engravings) PTI(Text Style, Postmarks, Table Service{for sentiment})
Cardstock: PTI (True Black, Kraft)
Ink: Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black
Other: Prismacolor Colored Pencils
I LOVE this! The combo is fantastic!

Hey Amber! Thanks again for linking up to the Thank You Card Challenge in Stamp It! Cards Week for the Moxie Fab World. 🙂
This is beautiful, though not your regular style, which shows that when you have the talent it goes with you everywhere!
This ain’t yer first rodeo, is it!
GORGEOUS.

Hi Amber, beautiful card – not a style that I am used to seeing from you, but beautiful nonetheless 🙂
This is Beautiful. Love the vintage look of this. You nailed it Girl!. Smooches… Felicia
Nice card! I like your hand-stamped background and the colorful butterflies. The sentiment “band” is pefect for this card. 🙂
I never would have picked this out as your card but I like it. I love the way the colored mpencils look.
I LOVE this card. You could never loose your talent. You have tons to spare!
Gorgeous!
I was traveling over the weekend and while at a rest stop, I was checking emails, and saw this card. I didn’t have time to leave a comment, but I was awe struck! I remember thinking, “Dang, that Amber is really amazing”. Honestly. This card reminds me of those pretty ‘hat boxes’ and home decor that you see a lot in department stores. I can’t think of a name or any examples, but you must know what I’m talking about if you made this…anyway, I just really, REALLY love how this turned out! I am glad to see you getting back into your creating groove!
This is a gorgeous card!!!
This card is amazing!! Just beautiful!! I completely agree with Jessica’s comment. I know this isn’t your usual style but I’m so glad you stepped out and tried something like this. I too have wanted to try something like this and you make it look like even I can do it.I’m also glad you put the bright pops of color! Perfect! I’m sorry but I have to case this card. I would love to give my color pencils a whirl and this has been the perfect inspiration! Thanks Amber, you rock!
