How to Host an Epic Valentine’s Day Party

First things first, let’s decorate! Thankfully, I’m all about easy Valentine’s Day decorations for this party. Watch HERE to see me assemble a super simple Valentine’s Day backdrop that is the perfect photo opp for your guests.

MY FAVE THROW PILLOW

Obsessed with this pillow! It’s super fluffy and even looks alot like this Pottery Barn pillow but a lot more colorful and a lot more affordable. I also love this pink tufted heart pillow!

BUILD THE BACKDROP

Build a fun backdrop…but make it easy. To start, I taped some matte pink wrapping paper to the wall using removable poster tape. Matte paper ensures you won’t have a glare in photos! You can also use Fadeless Bulletin Board Paper too! Next, I added these pre-cut hearts and used the BEST paint markers to add green stems to make heart shaped cherries!

COQUETTE BOW CHAIR BACKERS

Bow decor is really popular right now! I used this pink satin fabric from JOANN to create giant bows for the back of each chair.

WATCH HERE to see how I assembled them. You’ll love that these bows require ZERO sewing!

You’ll just need a hot glue gun and some string!

HEART SHAPED BREAD

I used the frozen yeast rolls to create heart shaped bread and it turned out so cute! First, thaw the rolls and then use kitchen scissors to snip half way down lengthwise. Shape the bottom into the point of a heart and then let them rise for 2-3 hours. Then you’re ready to bake! They come out so cute and are the perfect addition to a Valentine menu.

TOMATO HEART SKEWERS

You’ve seen these all over the internet! Just take cherry tomatoes, slice them diagonally then reassemble into a heart shape! I placed mine onto these cute heart skewers.

For serving up the food, I LOVE this plaid tray. It’s large enough to use for a sandwich station (like I made) or a Valentine’s Day charcuterie!

No party is complete without a little activity! I picked up some heart frames and created little stations for each guest to decorate their own Valentine frame.

In addition to the frames, you’ll need paint brushes…pink, of course and some paint palette trays which I recommend picking up from Dollar Tree! They have a pack of six paint trays for $1.25!

Now that you have a fabulous photo backdrop and a fun frame craft project – you’ll need to print out some photos from the party! My Canon Selphy Square QX10 comes in pink and is perfect for the job. The prints even have an adhesive backing so you can use them as stickers!
