I am quickly becoming addicted to the Embellish Magazine Color Trend Challenges!
Ashley Newell manages to select color combinations and themes that are wonderfully paired, but still a challenge to work with – and I love a challenge!
As soon as I saw this week’s challenge, I had to participate! Why?
Well – I love the colors – but I REALLY love French Macaroons!!!!
I just love the picture Ashley chose for the inspiration banner…so before I got started on my card for the challenge, I walked across the street to the Chocolatier, where they sell lots of yumminess, including these:
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way – here’s my card for the challenge.
I went with a simple layout, staying true to my style – but I added a vintage feel with tea-dyed edges and a Rustic Cream and Kraft card base.
The colors I chose are slightly brighter hues than the ones in the inspiration photo – but bright is the Damask Love way of doing things!
The circles are adhered with varying thicknesses of foam adhesive, adding some depth to the project.
