Nothing says summer like an ice-cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade. My mouth is watering just typing that!
Today’s project was inspired by the summery goodness of lemonade and the thought of all those fabulous Summertime cookouts I’ll be attending. The new Rag Dolls House: Stand, was the perfect stamp set to kick-off this week’s Style Watch edition.
As I’ve said before, it’s always nice to show up with a hostess gift in hand – and it’s even nicer when that hostess gift has a handmade element.
While a bottle of wine will suffice in most situations, but why not change things up with a little lemonade themed gift set. I hope you love this ensemble as much as I do…it’s got summer written all over it!
Until Later Loverlies,
I went a little crazy with lemons for this hostess gift but I think everything came together in a really fun way. I pulled elements from the current CSS release to make the gift set a cohesive ensemble.
First, let’s talk about the focal point of this ensemble – the adorable lemonade stand that came together thanks to the new Ragdoll: House Stand set and Ragdoll House Die . The stamp set is complete with several options for customizing your stand – which makes it a lot of fun to play with.
I adhered the stamped die cut to a skewer so that it would peek out of my pitcher full of lemons.
On the back of the house, I printed and die cut a lemonade recipe – pretty cute, right!!
And, why not include a bag full of sugar to be sure that your hostess has everything she’ll need for a batch of freshly squeezed lemonade. Again, I used images from Ragdoll: House Stand along with the “sugar” sentiment from Au Naturel Extras. The Clear Flat Bottom Bag and largest Topper Die offered the perfect packaging for this element of the gift set.
Next up – stripey straws – for no other reason that I have an obsession with stripe straws. I am a firm believer that you should sip any beverage from a wine glass or through a stripey straw – just makes it fancy that way.
Last, but certainly not least is a simple card that finishes off this hostess set. I used the By the Glass stamp set to create a refreshing glass of lemonade, then stamped the sentiment onto a couple more dies from Favor Flags.
Hope you enjoyed this gift set! With the hot summer months upon us, it’s definitely a great way to say “Thank You”
