The saddest part of my day is when dinner is over and there is no more eating for the rest of the day. Seriously.

I love food. So, so bad. All of it. There are very few things I won’t eat. For the sake of my waistline and overall health, though – I have to reign it in most days. But then there are always food-themed crafting supplies. Those don’t have calories. Win!

While I was at the Craft & Hobby Association Winter Trade Show in Anaheim, CA – I fell in love with this here stamp set by Lawn Fawn. Matter of fact, I named it my favorite stamp set of the entire show! I mean, let’s be honest: chinese food + stamps = a special kind of awesome.

As soon as the Good Fortune set arrived in the mail, I got to crafting…and came up with this. I’m not gonna lie. This is one of my prouder crafting moments. Twine as noodles? Yeah. I just wish I could eat it.

Craftroom Crush: Lawn Fawn Good Fortune Close | Damask Love Blog With some crafty cutting, you can easily replicate this design and turn the closed take out box image into an open one…

Craftroom Crush: Lawn Fawn Good Fortune Tutorial | Damask Love Blog

{1} Stamp the take out box image from Good Fortune on white cardstock and cut out.

{2} Cut apart all pieces of the flaps on the top of the box.

{3} Adhere the flaps as shown on another, complete of the take-out box

I used Craft-A-Board on each of the images on this card to make sure they held up. Craft-A-Board is especially helpful with small embellishments like the chopsticks and box flaps. Just adhere your image to the Craft-A-Board before cutting it out.

With all the pieces assembled, you add some yellow twine noodles to your card using crafting glue. I finished it off with a punny sentiment that looks a little like a fortune from a fortune cookie.

  1. This may be my favorite card ever! So clever. I enjoy your creations very much, but I do have a comment about your blog design. The light blue font color you’re now using is very light and hard to read. Would you please consider darkening the shade just a bit to make it more readable? Thanks for considering, and keep on rocking those stamps!
