For year’s I’ve lived in Miami…and wished I lived in a craftier city. A city with an establish crafty feel. The kind of city with lots of local stationery shops. The kind of city where you might find a workshop on paper crafting. For years, I bemoaned Miami’s lack of craft appeal. But then I had a little convo with myself. “Hold up! I’m crafty. I live in Miami and I’ll be damned if I’m the only one. There must be others out there!” And so #miamimakes was born.

#miamimakes is held in the beautiful Wynwood Letterpress shop located in Wynwood Block. The shop offers the perfect venue for this special event.
Each guest is treated to a beautifully styled placesetting with all the supplies they’ll need for the day’s project.
#miamimakes collaborates with product sponsors to showcase the best in crafting supplies and get their goodies in the hands of some seriously crafty ladies.
#miamimakes guests get down to business with their crafting and love every minute of it. #miamimakes is a retreat from the hustle and bustle of Miami, and reminds us that the maker movement is alive and well in our city!
Each #miamimakes workshop includes refreshments…and not any old refreshments. No red punch up in here! Local bake shops and cafes provide delicious bites to keep these crafters crafting.
