Remember THIS post?

It is most definitely one of my all time favorite posts on the blog. Who doesn’t love an infomercial…about stamps?!

For today’s Style Watch post, I have a simple ensemble of notecards that are super cute and very easy to make with your Create-A-Plaid Large stamp set.  If you don’t know about the awesomeness of Create-A-Plaid Large – it’s a set full of stripes that are long enough so stamp across an entire A2 card. Love that.

For my notecards set, I stamped a gingham pattern on the front of each which gives each card a fun look, but the ink is light enough that handwritten notes will still be legible.

  1. Cute project and the notecards are a beautiful idea. Awesome tip about using the edge of the block as a distance guide. I have always stayed away from stamping multiple lines on a card because mine always turn out horrible (to me) and it really stresses me out! I follow ALOT of card blogs and card classes and dont think anyone has ever shared this tip..so “I read it first on Damask Love”!!

    1. Hi Cindy! You can purchase the block from Clear & Simple stamps! The 2×8″ block is included in the Set B of acrylic blocks. Just click on the “Supplies” category of the CSS website

  2. I loved that initial post, too, and bought the stamp set because of it. Then I couldn’t figure out how to get the lines equidistant apart. Your tip is great! I am going to make a card right now! LOL

  3. Awesome card set! Great tips! Love your tips. Tried your folded banner, with the circle and it works ! thank you so much!

  4. So sweet! And some great tips on getting those long stamps straight and evenly spaced. Thanks for the info!

Just wondering if you would please give a bit more info on the packaging…looks like perhaps it’s made from kraft cardstock?? Or did you use a kraft bag? Gives your cards the perfect finishing touch. (Off to check the CSS website.)

    Really love this post…thanks again!

  5. Great tips! I love making plaid, and always use a lined block to make sure I’m getting things stuck on straight, but this would make it faster.
