I’m a self admitted adhesive addict. I can’t help myself. I’ve done some pretty crafty things with adhesive. Hemmed skirts. Fixed shoe soles…oh…and from time to time, I’ll use adhesive for paper crafting, of course!

Simply Crafty continues this week with an in depth look at Clear & Simple Stamps line of Simple Adhesive. Last week was all about Hybrid Inks, so if you missed it, be sure to take a look at all the inky awesomeness.

The Clear & Simple Stamps Simple Adhesive product line includes seven sizes of adhesive. Here are the stats

I’ve told you before about the versatility of Hybrid Inks. They stamp on everything. I’m pretty sure you could add some funky decor to your car with Hybrid Inks. I don’t suggest you do that though…how about fabric, instead?

{1} Neutral colored fabric. I opted for a medium-weight, cream colored canvas fabric.

{2} Clear & Simple Stamps Hybrid Ink

{3} Stamps of your choice. I suggest background stamps with small images, like these stars from Stars Plus.

{4} Non-stick scissors

What You Do Graphic | Damask Love Blog

{1} Place adhesive onto fabric, rubbing to be sure it is securing in place.

{2} Use scissors to trim away excess fabric, keeping very close to the edge of the adhesive strip.

{3} Stamp design directly onto fabric, gently wave heat gun over stamped fabric to set the ink and avoid smudging.

{4} Once finished stamping the entire length of fabric tape, gently go over the stamped fabric with a heat gun to set the ink.

DIY Stamped Fabric Tape | Damask Love BlogI’m sure you can come up with lots of fun ways to use this in your own crafting. In many cases, it can offer a unique, textured alternative to washi tape.  I put my fabric to use with a card set featuring several fabric elements.

These fabric front cards are simple to create … with zero frayed edges or unraveling! I’ll be sharing a tutorial for this tomorrow – so go to bed early…set your alarm clocks or something…you don’t wanna miss it!

Fabric Tape Packaging | Damask Love BlogIn the end, I packaged everything in a glassine bag and added a fabric friendly banner tag.

  1. I don’t have a website but I view yours every day. This trick with the fabric tape is awesome and sooo clever! I want to be just as creative as you are when I grow up. Well…I’m 66 and I should be grown by now so I’ll just settle for being a creative plagiarist. Thank you for sharing your talent.

  2. Beautiful, Amber, with attention to every little detail as always. I love it that you always include the presentation and packaging of the crafted item. Thank you!

  3. Fabulous, love this idea! Your creativity knows no boundaries, Amber – THANK YOU, for all you do for us crafters – amazing 🙂

    1. Hi Mary! The spools I used in the project are actually left overs from button twine I purchased from Papertrey Ink. The twine arrives on these beautiful spools and when it’s all gone, you can repurpose them!

  4. Those turned out awesome. I love it. But I do need to ask one question. What is Hybird Ink. And is it different from dye inks and pigment inks. TSM for all the fun you bring to your blog. I really enjoy it. And the + is I am learning. YAY me.

    1. Hey Tammy! Hybrid inks are by clear and simple stamps. They are different from dye inks though they do have a similar feel to them. They’ll stamp on fabric as well as felt, plastic, etc. they’re super versatile. Lemme know if you have any other questions!!

  6. Wonderful idea! I’m thinking of all the rolls of ribbon I’ve hoarded over the years 😀 Excellent way to use them xD
