 Hello Damask Love Friends!
I’m back in action with another Blog Hop!
**This is my second post for the day, so, scroll down to see the first!**

Read on for the deets on this special blog hop!

Christmas came early this year for a crop of crafters who submitted their creations to the Paper Crafts Magazine Holiday Cards & More Special Issue.

Here’s the rundown of stats:
  • 1350-ish submissions
  • 6  categories
  • 850 cards submitted
  • 450 non-card projects submitted
  • 400 cards submitted in the General Christmas category
  • 152 cards chosen for publication
  • 124 designers
  • 19 newbies (congratulations)!!!

In keeping with tradition, I’m here to host yet another blog hop for those projects that had another fate – perhaps you’ll save them for family and friends, once the holiday season rolls around…or maybe you’ll keep them for yourself to look at and admire!

For this Blog Hop, I’m doing things a little differently – so read on for the scoop:

Paper Crafts Magazine has active call for submission to their November/December issue – which will also be full of holiday crafts. The deadline for the call is Monday, May 9th.

Sooooo….if you have projects that didn’t make it into the Holiday Cards and More issue – you may want to resubmit them to the Nov/Dec issue call!!! Give those projects a second chance at magazine fame!

With so much holiday goodness being submitted, I will keep this blog hop open for two weeks. This way, you can upload some projects now or save them to resubmit. Then when acceptances are sent out for the November/December issue, you can come back to upload any projects that you’ll be keeping.

And NOW for the really fun twist. Since this IS a Holiday Blog Hop and the holidays are a great time to give gifts – I am going to add a little giveaway for a randomly selected blog hop participant!

The winner will receive a package of holiday themed crafting supplies from my favorite Florida scrapbooking store: Scrapbook Fanatic. The lucky winner will also receive $1,000,000 in Damask Love “Love Bucks” which can be redeemed for compliments, smiles, hugs and high-fives.

So with all of that out of the way – Let the Blog Hopping begin!!!!

Here are two of my own projects that didn’t make it into the Holiday Cards and More Special Issue – forgive the terrible photos – I’ll post better ones later!

Keep on crafting with these other posts

  1. I love the million dollar Damask Love bucks! You’re too funny!
Such a great idea to select a random winner for a prize! I love the submission info summary too! Great job, Amber!

  2. Cute projects, Amber! I love the bite out of the gingerbread head. LOL I missed your other blog hop so I’m linking up a rejected card for that one here. 🙂

  3. Hello,
When I design custom invitations, I offer to design custom postage for my clients to complete the look of their invitation package. The party starts when the guests open their invitations, so setting the tone of the party with the invitation is important. But even before the envelope is opened, the first impression the guest has of the invitation is what’s on the outside.
