Father’s Day is around the corner and around these parts, we like to inject a decent dose of DIY into every holiday.  If you’re a dad…or a mom, for that matter – we can all agree that photos of your kiddos are the best thing ever, but we can also agree that most photos live and die on our cell phones and never make it off the camera roll. No better time to change that than Father’s Day because Pops loves a good photo opp!

This year, I’m joining forces with my favorite camera and printer brand – Canon – to share a little sneak peek of how we’re using the Canon M50 camera to capture a few special moments for a super simple Father’s Day gift that you can quickly make with your kiddos!

Just like your trusty cell phone camera – the Canon M50 is incredibly light-weight which means you can carry it in your purse or pocket without too much added bulk. But unlike your phone, the M50 can capture moments with incredible detail and vibrant colors. I was super impressed with the “straight-off-the-camera” result. No editing required! Just shoot and print.

Markus LOVED the Vari-angle LCD screen! You can touch and swipe through your photos…which was his favorite part of the entire day! Once he gave the stamp of approval on his favorite photos, we headed to the studio to turn our photos into the perfect gift for dad!

By now you know that I turn to my Canon PIXMA TS9521C  for all things printing! With the built-in WiFi of the M50, we were able to easily share and print our favorite photo and turn it into a gift for Dad! Just print the photo then add it to a box frame and go to town with stickers! Simple, mess free and a great personalized last minute gift!

This Father’s Day, save $200 on the Canon EOS M50 EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens Kit and give Dad the power to capture high-quality photos and 4K video anywhere he goes, now through 6/29

  8. This is beautiful. We just had a wonderful Father’s Day out here in Victoria BC. He had been busy all morning trying to get the oven repaired by the local techs after reading their website just to cook his own Father’s Day roastbeef. But we couldn’t let him do that. He was taken off to a 5 star buffet before he knew what hit him lol.
