July is National Ice Cream Month. Govern yourselves accordingly…which clearly means: It’s time to craft your own ice cream social party! Right?!
I’m inviting you to the Damask Love ice cream social in hopes of giving you some inspiration for your own party. Each element of my party has been crafted on the Cricut Explore, which means you can replicate this party for your own friends and family! Follow along as I tour you through each DIY project that makes this ice cream social way better than the one’s you attended in grade school.
HOW TO MAKE AN ICE CREAM SOCIAL INVITATION
Any respectable party needs an invitation, so let me show you the one I created for this event.

All of the cutting and writing on this invitation was done with the Cricut Explore! I added “sprinkles” to the cone with paint and Q-tips.
HOW TO MAKE AN ICE CREAM CONE STAND
Since you’ll want to serve plenty of ice cream at your party, I figured it’d be cool to have a place to put your cones so guests can quickly grab their favorite flavor. I was able to create my own ice cream cone stand with the Cricut Explore!
Cut your own Ice Cream Cone Stand with THIS Cricut Design Space Canvas
- Cut the Ice Cream Stand from chipboard, patterned paper and 12×24 cardstock
- Glue stick
- Paper Cup
STEP ONE
Glue the chipboard layers together with the glue stick then adhere the patterned paper to the top
STEP TWO
Use the glue stick or a hot glue gun to adhere the scallop border along the edge
STEP THREE
Use a hot glue gun to adhere the paper cup the bottom of the chipboard
